There is something that every living person has in common, death. We will all die someday. It might not be today, but inevitably it will happen.

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

The first thing you have to to is Admit that you are a sinner, that you do bad things. Even "little" bad things can keep you from Heaven.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
-Romans 3:23

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
-Romans 6:23

The second thing is to believe that Jesus died and rose again for your sins.

But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us
-Romans 5:8

All you have to do is call on God to save you from your sin and the consequence of death and Hell.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
-Romans 10:13
